Creating an account means you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. You accept both in the app before you sign up. If you don’t agree, don’t create an account. Questions? Email hello@seatzy.app.
Who can use Seatzy
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding agreement. You’re responsible for the information in your account and for keeping your login secure.
Hosting and joining tables
- Tables must take place at public restaurants or venues, never private homes.
- Hosts are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including the venue, time, and number of seats. A restaurant photo may come from Google Places and can be wrong, so check the place before you publish.
- Each guest pays for their own meal unless the host clearly says otherwise. Seatzy is not a party to any restaurant bill, reservation, or payment between people.
- If your plans change, cancel as early as you can so someone else can take your seat.
Community rules
Be kind and respectful. You will not:
- Bully or harass. No threats, intimidation, humiliation, hate, or unwanted sexual comments, in the app or at a table.
- Steal or scam. No theft from a host, a guest, or the restaurant. No phishing, fake tables, or asking someone for money outside what the listing says.
- Post indecent photos. No nude, sexual, or pornographic photos, and nothing sexual involving anyone under 18. A profile photo is a photo of you, clothed, that you have the right to share.
- Discriminate, deceive, spam, promote a business uninvited, or use Seatzy for anything illegal.
We may remove a photo, message, or table, and we may suspend or delete an account, when someone breaks these rules. Report a person or a table in the app, including for bullying, theft, or an indecent photo. We review reports and may share information with law enforcement when the law requires it.
Your safety
Seatzy helps you meet people. We don’t run background checks, and we can’t guarantee how anyone will behave or that belongings at a restaurant will be safe. Meet in public, watch your things, and leave any situation that feels wrong. In an emergency, call 911.
Your content
You own what you post. By posting, you give Seatzy permission to display it in the app as needed to run the service, and to review or remove it when these rules require that.
Disclaimers and limits
Seatzy is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent the law allows, Seatzy isn’t liable for the conduct of users, restaurants, or other third parties, or for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we’ll let you know in the app. Continuing to use Seatzy means you accept the updated terms.
